FAMILY LAW FELLOWSHIP COURSE
September 1, 2009 – December 15, 2009
The Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario “ILCO” is pleased to offer the
Family Law fellowship course to its members and to the legal community.
The course will cover all of the major areas of Family Law including: who is a family and why the government
regulates families; the constitutional and institutional contexts of family law and the Family Law Rules;
common law relationships, marriage and divorce; equalization of matrimonial property, financial statements
and financial disclosure; support under the Child Support Guidelines including special and extraordinary
expenses and under the Spousal Support Advisory Guidelines, and the formation, variation and setting aside
of Domestic Contracts.

The Certificate in Dispute Resolution (CDR) is a cross disciplinary program for professionals and practitioners in a wide variety of occupations.
Designed with the busy professional in mind, the CDR consists of 120 hours of intensive study, including live, in-class seminars and interactive online learning. SECURITIES LAW
COURSE FULL
January 12, 2009 – April 27, 2009
The Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario is offering the securities law fellowship course this winter. This
course will introduce students to Ontario securities law concepts and help them apply those concepts to the
various forms and documents involved in securities transactions. The course covers the concepts of securities
law and focuses on standard securities transactions including: public offerings, exempt offerings, continuous
disclosure, SEDAR and SEDI registration, and take-over bids. By the end of the course a student should be
familiar with the structure of standard securities law transactions and be able to identify and complete a number
of documents and forms.
