Education Awards
If you are an ILCO member and achieve the highest grade on the provincial associate exam(s) or on any fellowship exam you are eligible to be considered as a possible recipient of an ILCO Education Award.
Members who achieve honours on each of the four provincial exams will receive an honours certificate. The awards are presented at ILCO’s Annual Education Awards ceremony. The Annual Education Awards ceremony is an invite only event held to recognize the outstanding achievements made in the Associate and Fellowship courses.
Real Estate - Balfour Award for Excellence in Real Estate
In 1971, David Boakes, a founding member of ILCO expressed his wish to donate an Award for Excellence in Real Estate. In honour of David’s father, Balfour Boakes, this Award is presented to the ILCO member who attains the highest mark on the Real Estate Provincial Exam.
Litigation - James Bristow Award for Excellence in Litigation
ILCO has been donating an annual Award for Excellence in Litigation since 1995 to memorialize the hard work and dedication of James V. Bristow to ILCO. This Award is presented to the ILCO member who attains the highest mark on the Litigation Provincial Exam.
Estates - David Boakes Award for Excellence in Estates
Since 1995, ILCO has donated an Award for Excellence in Estates in commemoration of Mr. David Boakes. This Award is presented to the ILCO member who attains the highest mark on the Estates Provincial Exam.
Corporate - Victor Award for Excellence in Corporate
In 1971, James Bristow expressed his interest in donating an Award for Excellence in Corporate Law in honour of his father, Victor Bristow. The Award is presented to the ILCO member who attains the highest mark on the Corporate Provincial Exam.
