Become an Ordinary Member with ILCO!
An Ordinary Membership with The Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario (“ILCO”) is designed for professional law clerks looking to expand their expertise and network within the legal community. This level is open to law clerks who are actively employed in the legal field and have completed the necessary educational requirements. Members gain access to a range of professional development resources, including legal education programs and networking opportunities. This membership level is ideal for those looking to deepen their legal knowledge and enhance their career growth.
Qualifications
You may be admitted as an Ordinary member if you:
- Are in Qualifying Employment at the time of seeking admission as an Ordinary Member
- You are at least 18 years of age; and
- Provide a completed Statutory Declaration
Application Instructions
The membership fee structure is based on a billing period from July 1 to June 30. Membership applications are generally processed each month. The annual fee is not pro-rated.
2024-2025 ILCO Ordinary Membership Fee: $180.00 + HST = $203.40
Before starting this application, please ensure you have electronic copies of the following materials. These documents will be uploaded as part of the application process.
- Completed and signed Statutory Declaration.
- Resume listing your current and past employment duties as a Law Clerk.
