This session will provide an overview of the requirements, challenges and opportunities for incorporations in the Atlantic Canadian legal context, highlighting differences across Atlantic Canadian and other jurisdictions.

Presenters:

Marie-Pier Levesque

Marie-Pier is an associate in the Moncton, New Brunswick office of Cox & Palmer. Marie-Pier studied law at Université de Moncton where she graduated with a Juris Doctor in 2016. Her primary area of practice is in corporate and commercial law, as well as in real estate transactions, both commercial and residential, and estate planning, including preparing last will & testaments and powers of attorney. She is fluent in both official languages and can assist her clients in French and English.

Thomas Munn

Thomas is an associate in the St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador office of Cox & Palmer and graduated from Dalhousie University Schulich School of Law with a Juris Doctor in 2017. He has a commercial practice with a focus on commercial transactions, corporate law, construction and infrastructure law, and secured lending. He has acted in a wide range of corporate and commercial areas, including the sale
