This CLE will include the following:

  • A discussion on the difference between immigration and refugee law;
  • Which areas are included in immigration, for example student visa, work permit, business immigration, sponsorship, humanitarian, who can ask for protection and etc;
  • The court system in immigration and refugee law (hierarchy of courts) appeal, federal court, and deadlines, processing time; and
  • Legal aid
