Overview

This session is intended for junior clerks and individuals interested in learning about securities law.  It was designed to provide an overview of the objectives and regulatory framework of securities legislation, with a focus on its application to public issuers, private companies, investment funds and shareholders.   The session will cover the core continuous disclosure obligations applicable to reporting issuers in Canada, including the rationale behind the requirements. It will also introduce the main types of financing and mergers and acquisitions transactions.
