Overview

This session will be useful for law clerks and paralegals seeking to understand stock options and the part options play in overall corporate maintenance.  Key legal concepts that will be discussed include the granting of options to employees, executives and investors; option vesting schedules; option exercise procedures; and the issuance of shares upon the exercise of options.  

This session will also provide guidance on the steps and documentation necessary to grant options, exercise options, issue shares on the exercise of options, and update corporate records.  The goal is to provide law clerks and paralegals with general knowledge and practical guidance to support a confident and informed approach to corporate maintenance for options-granting clients.
